With my sincere sympathy to John and family.
Barbara was a beautiful person inside and out. I was honored to create her Christmas wreaths from year to year. When she called, she was always a conversationalist on the phone. She was just not a client, but a friend to us.

John, Kendall, Jordan and Hollis,
I am so stunned and sorry to learn of your great loss. Barbara was such a special and caring person and devoted mom. I always felt a close and loving bond with my cousins the Puigs and I was glad beyond belief when John found and married such a strong and wonderful woman.
Barbara was so bright and engaging. Her efforts to participate and stay in touch with us over the years showed her unflagging devotion to family. Tan and I think the best thing that you can say about a person is that they were a good parent and Barbara was an exceptionally devoted and loving mother, how she always put her children above herself, ahead of any of her own wants or needs, tireless, unconditional, unbounded love. Bless her spirit.

Barb-
You have always been an inspiration to me. It started when you dropped off Jordon for her first Brownie Troop gathering at my home at 410 Loudon decades ago... I was intrigued by a 6 year old Jordon and her curiosity happily going from room to room and gingerly picking up various artifacts then laying them back down after expressing an abrupt opinion about each as only Jordon could do -and likewise impressed were each of my kids hanging out with her that evening. I never told you how that memory made such an imprint on me and how it has helped me cope with my own child rearing issues raising my six kids throughout the years.
I always felt what a remarkable young woman you were blessed with in Jordon and having such a close and supportive family. Reading your obituary this morning was surprising and heartbreaking, but what was written was not- I totally can imagine you making your kids listen to the sound bite of the parent trap and/or singing to them - as I would make mine listen to me read “I Love You Forever” time and time again and also sang a silly song every night- off key of course!... ( I always told my kids their favorite car when they grow up should be a mini van- as that is where the foundation for family unity lies- it was always do or die with me and six kids crammed traveling all over the US in our minivan during winter and spring breaks! Lol)
Later, throughout the years I would walk the dogs by your house in the morning and see Jordon getting picked up for school in your driveway ...and always- I mean it- always think of you and what a remarkable woman you are..
Thank you for allowing me to meet you and have a glimpse into your family..Knowing you- albeit from a distance- was always comforting and provided strength....Your resilience and strength was always an inspiration to me...and will continue to be. Thank you. God Bless you and your family during this difficult time. I truly believe you will still always be there for them- they just have to look upward now...
Yours truly,
Libby Barra

Where would one begin to express memories of Barb? She was a multi faceted individual who gave love freely to everyone.
The usual attributes of style and beauty are so evident that they need not be expressed.
The usual expressions of sympathy and condolences seem trite when compared to the collective loss we all will experience. I count myself blessed to have known her and will miss her forever.
