Obituary of Beverly F. Poulin
BEVERLY F. POULIN
LATHAM - Beverly F. Poulin, 86 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Poulin, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 6, 2024 in the peaceful comfort of her home with her family at her side.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Raymond (Carole) Fontaine and the late Margaret (Walter) Janeczek. Beverly was raised in Lansingburgh and attended St. Augustine's School. She went on to attend Lansingburgh High School and later Hudson Valley Community College where she attained her Nursing Degree. Beverly and Bob were married in 1959, cherishing 46 years together prior to his passing in 2005. Together they raised their family in Latham. Beverly dedicated her career as a nurse to lovingly helping those in need. She worked at the former Cohoes Hospital as well as Samaritan Hospital in Troy and numerous local doctor's offices. In her later years as a nurse, Beverly would often be asked to return to offices where she previously worked, by providers who longed for a caregiver as dedicated and compassionate as Beverly. Never one to say no, she would help when she was able up until her retirement in the early 2000's. Upon retiring, Beverly enjoyed spending winters in St. Augustine, FL with Bob. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Bridge. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. She will be sorely missed yet forever remembered in the hearts of those she loved.
In addition to her late husband, parents and stepparents, Beverly is predeceased by her granddaughter Kara Valente.
She is survived by her loving children Matthew R. Poulin, Cheryl M. Valente, Michael R. Poulin, and Robert E. (Kristen) Poulin as well as grandchildren Ashley Poulin (Conner), Scott Ovitt, Amanda (Alex) Rufer, Hannah Poulin, Holly Valente, Lenore Cady-Poulin, and Marne Cady-Poulin. Also survived by her sisters Linda Janeczek-Segreto, Carol (late Charlie) Fontaine-Moran, and Barbara (Bill) Fontaine-White as well as sisters-in-law Peggy Poulin and Karen Burdick and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
