There's nothing I can say about Jack that hasn't been said already, and better. We worked in the same office; luckily for him, he refused to take it seriously. It's a good thing I left theatre long ago, for if we had ever been in the same show, I could not have been on stage with him and kept a straight face, no, not even in Othello. I doubt he will rest, never mind in peace, as he'll be too busy cracking up the heavenly host. Bless you, Jack, and hugs to your family.

I have known Jack since he was a young boy living in Cohoes. His parents were close friends of my husband's and mine. I am so sad and shocked to have learned this news. Jack was unique. i happily recall the numerous times when Jack would walk the wide aisles of St. Pius church to greet us after Mass. After my husband passed, Jack continued to search me out to chat, talk about his Mom and his Grandma Scoma..all things Italian. I regret that I will be unable to attend Jack's funeral since I have no transportation. I send deep sympathy to Maria, his children and the Fallon family.

I had the pleasure of working with Jack at the NYS Education Dept. He was an energetic coworker and ever the entertainer. I recall him coming to work not only in costume, but also in character in the days leading up to opening night of a play. He was a true delight to work with. My condolences to his family.

To Jack's family Maria, Genevieve, Theresa, and Patrick. This is such a shock to me as Jack never mentioned anything to me about his cancer. The last time we spoke a few weeks ago he gave me his brother Tom's number to call. I regret that I have yet to call Tom but I believe he wanted our friendship to continue through his brother. Now everything makes sense. This is just such a shock. I regret not seeing more of Jack's plays especially his most recent Shakespeare company performances. Jack's passing leaves such a huge hole in my life.
I am happy to have known Jack and that he was able to attend a couple parties at my home this past winter. He was of course the life of the party and will be sorely missed this year by all my friends and family. I worked with Jack many years at the New York State Education Department. Knowing how much he meant to me I can only imagine how his passing has affected all of you. Know that you are not alone. Go in peace my dear friend Jack on your new journey with all my love.

No one held court quite like my uncle Jack. The world, his stage, and life, a series of wondrous stories. Passion to the fruit extreme about his craft, and only second to those he created from his own bare “necessities,” he was also the seeker and keeper of our colorful family history. Like knock it off intelligent and as brilliantly talented as he was, it was the art of storytelling that earned him the Masterclass. When he had something to say, he was standing, and there wasn’t an appendage at rest and didn’t let any body part off the hook. He wanted everybody in the cheap seats to get equal consideration, for you to taste, smell, hear, touch, and feel the story. Period. If you paid for the good seats, your eyeballs were dilating, crossing, and staring right into the soul (or prefrontal cortex, take your pick). And God HELP you if you interrupted him. He would often say to me, “dut dut dut dut hush now..gosh, will ya just Listen….dear can I just get through this?!” I would have to explain to him the distinction between a rude interruption and active listening…Very recently, he remarked about how lovely my daughter Fallon is…”that Fallon is something else… she is just so sweet and such a great listener. Never interrupts…” I asked him if that was just a straight compliment about her or a creative dig at me. “Both! “ he exclaimed. We laughed.
Laughter was Jack’s native tongue and is the Fallon way, and it began with him.
He cultivated joy by bringing that to others. I reckon no one entertained Jack more than himself. And this is a gift. The art of self amusement is a straight line to inner peace. Coupled with Jack’s unyielding devotion to God and his love of family, I believe he hit the winning trifecta.
I will miss and love him always.

I was lucky enough to know Jack through the Blue Horses! How amazing, to be connected in this way but to have left such a lasting impression. Jack truly put his heart into everything, from his conversations, to his jokes, to his performance. I am truly grateful to have met Jack and laughed with him. I am deeply saddened by his loss, and the loss of one of the greats in Theatre. May he only know peace, fun, and good health and humor in heaven.

I met Jack Fallon twice in my life, once at a wedding and again at a funeral. Both times i walked away from our conversation nearly in tears from laughter. He was one of the most singularly affable, gregarious and funny people I'd ever had the pleasure of meeting and sharing a bagel with.

Jack was in the first play I did at Curtain Call, “Chemical Imbalance” playing Lady Throckmortanshire and he always made it nearly impossible to keep a straight face while onstage with him. He was the funniest actor I ever had the joy to play with. “Out of Order (again in a dress as the hotel maid),” “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “Grand Concourse” which I was soo lucky he chose to audition for at Albany Civic Theater. The thing I love most about Jack was his attending previews at Curtain Call and waiting until everyone had filled out and catching my eye to say “You’ve got some good stuff.” I will never forget his generosity or the pleasure in spending time in his company. Bravo Jack!

If there was a family caper afoot, Cousin Jack was IN! ...from the infamous high jinx imbuing his boyhood jobs at our fathers’ drug store - where medicine often took the form of healing humor - on up through our generation’s latter-year adventures, as this photo attests. Jack and I are pictured, in 2019, waiting our turns to take stage in Whitehall NY’s annual Sasquatch Calling Contest (in which my twin brother Arnie also competed, and we were joined by 7 other family members.) Whenever invited to partake in such foolery, I never knew Jack to ask, “Why are we doing this?” Oh, the stories he had to tell - and LIVED! Cousin Jack will be remembered vividly and appreciatively. Saddened by his passing, I send love and heartfelt condolences to Maria, their children, and surviving siblings Peter, Tom, Mark and Carol.
