Obituary of Barbara A. Neville
BARBARA A. NEVILLE
COLONIE - Barbara A. Neville, 88 of Colonie, beloved wife of the late Robert D. Neville Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, January 22nd, 2025 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born in Troy on January 15th, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Mary Anne (Heelan) Schnapp. She and Bob were married on November 15th, 1958 and shared a devoted union of almost 58 years prior to his passing on July 21st, 2016.
Barbara was a dedicated homemaker who tended to her family's needs with the utmost love and care. Before becoming the world's best mom and wife, Barbara graduated from Catholic Central High School class of 1955 and attended St. Peter's Hospital nursing school. In a perfect twist of fate, she left nursing school and accepted a position with New York Telephone Company where she met Bob. The rest, as they say, is history.
Barbara is survived by her devoted children Deborah (Shawn) DeVoe of NC, Kimberly (James) Lauro of Colonie, Mary Kay Neville of Clinton, NY and Christopher (Marykathryn) W. Neville of Green Island as well as her cherished grandchildren Ryan M. DeVoe, Conor J. DeVoe and James M. Lauro Jr., daughter-in-law Kim Munkwitz, two granddaughters Gabrielle and Antonina and her Great-Granddaughters: Ava and Layla as well as her treasured family friend Kim Clyne who was like a daughter to her, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her late parents and husband, she is predeceased by her children Joanne Neville and Robert D. Neville Jr. as well as siblings William G. Schnapp, Jeanne M. Pasciuti, and Alyce C. Verch.
In accordance with her wishes, services will be private.

Interment will take place beside her beloved Bob in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
