I did not personally know Etta De Garmo. I did, however, have an intuitive understanding that she must have been a woman of substance because of the endearing, substantive qualities manifested in her daughter, Shelley. Surely they must have been engendered and,or nurtured by her mother, Etta.
Thursday has developed into a beautiful, early Spring like day that together with faith and the beautiful setting of the National Cemetary at Saratoga, I hope brought a balm of comfort and serenity to the grief of Etta's family as she was laid to rest in peace.
