Obituary of Virginia Goodman

VIRGINIA L. GOODMAN Latham- Virginia Lee Goodman, born November 26, 1924, in Rosemont, IL, passed away on April 13, 2012, at her residence after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, James William and Theodosia (nee Stivers) Newbold, nine sisters and three brothers. She worked at Nabisco for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Donald Goodman, whom she married on September 24, 1950; and her loving children, Sharon (Mark) Wight of Hoosick Falls, Cynthia (David) Lewis of Galway, Kathy (Robert) Racette of Latham, and Gary Goodman of Latham. She was the cherished grandmother of Sean (Beckie Macey) Burlingame, Adam (Crystal Jacquard) Burlingame, Amanda Walion, Travis Walion, Caitlin Walion, Alex Racette, Nicole Racette, Victoria Racette, and Christopher (Trisha) Wright; and great-grandmother of Gavan Burlingame, Brailyn Wright, and Kamdyn Wright. Friends may call on Monday April 16, 2012 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road in Latham. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Elaine Woroby will officiate. Interment will be at Albany Rural Cemetery.
