Obituary of Sandra J. Brokaw

SANDRA J. BROKAW Delmar- Sandra J. Brokaw, 64 of Delmar, beloved wife of the late David L. Brokaw, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2012 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Miles City, Montana on October 2, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothea (Currie) McLean. Sandra was the Chief Financial Officer and then Director of Human Resources for Fillpoint-SVG in Malta from 1995-2012. A very talented woman in crafts she started Mimi's Paintbrush & Two Friends Beading and was the President of Save-More Wines & Liquors in Menands. She was an active board member with the Albany Yacht Club as well as Past Board member of the Episcopal Counseling Service in Albany and member of AICPA. Sandra is survived by her loving children: Shannon (Gregory) Briscoe of Delmar and Erik (Kimberley) C. Brokaw of Loudonville as well as her 4 cherished grandchildren: Casey and Jason Briscoe, Victoria Mathews and Sophia Brokaw and several close friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday July 5, 2012 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services will be held Friday July 6 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Darius Mojallali officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Sandra's memory to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, 1 Mustang Dr. Cohoes, NY 12047.
