Though I am not a Duggan, ( and you can pronounce that either way), I am proud to be related to the Duggans, by way of my mother. She has always had a strong love for her family in Albany and has never stopped visiting and thinking of them all often. I can assure you Ed will be missed by my mother "Tootsie" and all the Hart family very much... R.I.P. Uncle Ed, and may God Bless all the Duggans at this time and forever.

I remember when Grandpa took me on my first go cart ride when we were out there a couple of summers ago. Grandpa and I were waiting for Mom, Grammy, and my sister. But we gave up waiting so we left. So Grandpa took me alone on a double go cart. He was driving. I have never liked to go fast so when we started moving I was already screaming,"Slow Down!". But it did not work and grandpa went faster. At the time I was so scared but afterward I really enjoyed it. To the point were we went at least twice. I will always miss my Grandpa.

I called Eddie the "chief" and he was one of the best I ever worked with. I learned so much working with him and if it wasn't for the chief I wouldn't have my home. He was a great friend a wonderful family man my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to read of Ed's passing in the Times Union this morning. I met Ed when I hired him to be a superintendent at RSJ Construction in the late 70's. He was one of the hardest-working person I ever met. He was also one of the most construction-savvy person I ever met. But what struck me the most was his genuineness. He was honest, sincere and real.
Our paths crossed many times after he left RSJ and I was working for the Bldg. Dept. at Colonie. I remember meeting him at his Control Tower Ice Cream stand to work out a couple Buildinf Code issues. Always a delight with Ed. He told me he was starting this venture so his kids would have something to do. Who does that? Only Ed Duggan.
The only child of Ed's that I know is Steve, who I hope reads this. There is a lot of Ed in you, which, in my book, is a great compliment.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, especially Sue who I know will miss him very much.

I remember Mr. Duggan always helping out my Dad at our house as a kid. Since he was very handy around the house he would always assist my father since that was not my father's greatest strength. Mr. Duggan always loved to tell the story of how my Dad put 20 holes in the ceiling trying to hang a plant. He finally had to call Mr. Duggan to come over and fix the ceiling and hang the plant. I've been so inspired by him these last several years as he has fought so hard. He is one of the strongest people I've ever known. He has helped to inspire my husband who is also fighting cancer. In January, Mr. Duggan spoke to me from his hospital bed to give me advice on how to fight this awful disease. Among all his own troubles he still was able to reach out and help me. He will truly be missed - especially by the entire Kirkland family who have such fond memories of growing up down the street from him and the rest of the Duggan family. Love to you all.
