EDWARD CHARLES DUGGAN
Latham- Edward Charles Duggan, 69, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at home with his family by his side.
Ed is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan (Gibbs). Together, they are the proud parents of Laura (Dan) Clayton, Karen (Edward) Dominguez, Lisa Duggan, and Steven (Michelle) Duggan. Ed's greatest pleasure was spending time with his children and five cherished granddaughters: Kaitlyn, Maia, Anna, Leah and Alexa.
Ed was the son of the late James and Anna Duggan. He grew up in Watervliet, NY alongside his brothers James (Darlene) Duggan, Gerald (Sandra) Duggan, George (Barbara) Duggan and his sisters Margaret (Arthur) Hart, Patricia Cotch, Sister Rita Duggan CSJ, Mary (Raymond) Harbeck and the late Caroline (Joseph) Fogarty.
Ed was a General Contractor and entrepreneur. He loved the challenge of starting a new business and valued a strong work ethic. He was the owner of Bucknell Construction Corp, as well as several other businesses.
One of Ed's favorite work projects was his involvement at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT. Through that experience, he became familiar with The Double H Ranch, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's honor to The Double H Ranch, 97 Hidden Valley Rd, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846 ( www.doublehranch.org).
In keeping with Ed's wishes, there will be no wake. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ed's life at a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. Ambrose Church in Latham, beginning at 11:00am.
