Obituary of Margaret E. Alund

MARGARET E. ALUND Clifton Park- Margaret E. Alund, 89, currently a resident of Schuyler Ride Health Care Facility inCliftonPark and beloved wife of the late John J. Alund, passed away peacefully on Friday June 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albanyon August 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Alice (Allen) Roberts. Marge was married to John Alund and the two shared many cherished and loving years of marriage before his passing on August 6th 1995. Marge was a Receptionist employed by the Albany County Dept. of Social Services for over 20 years, before retirement. During that time she was also a receptionist at the YWCA inAlbanyfor 10 years. Marge was a kind and giving person whose family meant everything to her. We were blessed to have her in our lives and she will be deeply missed. We love you Ma/Nana. She is survived by her loving children: Art and his wife Kim Pightling of CO, John Alund & Cathy Alund both of Watervliet, Fred and his wife Catherine Alund of Clifton Park, Colleen Futia of Menands and Christine Alund and her fiancé James Ingram of Malta. Her cherished grandchildren: Anna, Brandi, Joey, Brandon, Alex, John, Arthur, Joshua, Savannah & Abigail and 3 great grandchildren: Chelsea, Blake & Noah. She is predeceased by her brother Arthur Roberts. Relatives and Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4-6 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home,149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Funeral services for Marge will be celebrated at 6:00 pm immediately following the visitation with Fr. Patrick Butler officiating. Interment will be Wednesday inSt.AgnesCemetery, Menands.
