Obituary of Ruth W. Prescott

RUTH W. PRESCOTT Clifton Park- Ruth W. Prescott, 88, of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Thursday January 15, 2015 at the Glendale Home in Glenville where she currently resided. Born January 6, 1927 in Albany, Ruth was the daughter of the late Warren and Minnie (Boel) Finkle. Ruth had been predeceased by her beloved husband Leonard E. Prescott Sr. on August 20, 2004, after fifty six years of marriage. Ruth was a Keypunch Operator, employed with New York State, for several years before her retirement. She is survived by her loving son: Leonard E. Prescott Jr. of Clifton Park, her 4 cherished grandchildren, Eric J., Jeffrey C, Faith C, and Grace C Prescott and her 9 adored great grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Jonathan Blue, Devin, Olivia, Celeste, Logan, Hunter, and Joshua as well as her sisters; Florence Dipofi, Joyce Diffenback, Loretta McClaren, and Lois Finkle Ruth had been predeceased by several cherished sisters and her daughter in law Deborah Prescott. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday January 17 from 9:30-10:30 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham Ruth's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 17 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church Of Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, Waterford. Fr. Joseph Cebula officiating. Interment will take place at Blooming Grove Rural Cemetery, North Greenbush.
