ANN G. ZUBAL
Latham- Ann G. Zubal, 90 of Latham passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Van Rensselaer Manor, in North Greenbush.
Born in Watervliet on September 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Max and Sophie (Milnarik) Greschak. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School. Ann was married to Anthony Zubal and the two were blessed with 46 years of love and devotion prior to his passing in 1999.
At one time Ann worked as a Secretary for Behr-Manning in Watervliet. After leaving the workforce she was a loving and devoted homemaker who tended to her family needs with the utmost of importance. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed going out to dinner. She loved tending to her vegetable and flower garden. She went on many trips to the Racino's and Casino's and most important to her was visiting the Elderly and Shut-in's with the Mother of Perpetual Help Group from St. Nicholas.
Ann is survived by her loving children; Jean (Patrick) McKeown of Latham and James (Denise) Zubal of Rochester as well as her 4 cherished grandchildren; Kelly and Kacie McKeown and Amy and Greg Zubal and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings: Samuel and Mike Greschak, Mary Fink and Eva Lapishka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church, 2410 4th Avenue, Watervliet.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Latham. A parastas service will be held at 5:00 pm
Interment will take place in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and residents at the Van Rensselaer Manor for their wonderful care and compassion, especially her roommate Ferol Coonradt.
