STEPHANIE TEMPEL
Watervliet- Stephanie Tempel of Watervliet passed away peacefully on February 8, 2015. She was born in Poland and raised in Germany. She migrated to the United States and became a U.S. Citizen. Stephanie worked as the Manager of the Monte Mario Motel in Latham for the past 37 years and enjoyed working fulltime until her illness in September 2014.
Stephanie was an avid boxing fan. She loved her family, music, an occasional cocktail, dancing and the ocean. Her passion was her family with whom she inspired her German culture and cooking.
She is survived by her Daughter Monica Bell, husband Cooper Bell, grandson Christian Bell and her Son Dennis Bender, wife Diane Bender and grandson Derek Bender.
She is also survived by her German Family; Sigmar Ebert, Ina Koegel and Hans Henrik Sandager and her Austrian Family: Karli Gruber, Renate Gruber and Inge Gruber.
Stephanie would like to be remembered for her generosity, her kindness and most of all, her beautiful smile. Loving memories last forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Services will follow the visitation at 6:30 p.m.
