ROMUALDO A. SCALISE
Albany-Romualdo Scalise, age 67, of Albany, passed away on February 28, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sorbo San Basile, Italy, Romualdo was the son of the late Domenico and Caterina Scalise. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years, Livia and siblings Rosa, Marialucia, Saverio and Giuseppe.
He is survived by his devoted children, Catherine Scalise, Dominick "Mimmo" Scalise, Anthony Scalise and his wife Kristy; adored grandchildren Gabriella, Bianca and Anthony; his brother Nunzio (Lina) Scalise; his sisters, Teresa (Angelo) Ursetta, Eluisa (Giuseppe) Zangari, and Clelia Scalise; Brother in laws, James (Linda) Giglio and Joseph (Isabella) Giglio. He is also survived by several cherished nieces, nephews, as well as many other loving relatives here and in Italy.
Romualdo retired from Laborer's Local 190 in 2001. He was a member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society. Romualdo loved to cook and opened his kitchen to everyone that came over. He had a passion and took pride in making homemade wine, sauce and sopressata. Romualdo enjoyed gardening, building and having projects to work on. Romualdo's biggest passion was taking care of his family, always making them his first priority.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, March 4th from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi, 391 Delaware Avenue, Albany at 10am.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
