Obituary of Carol A. Rock

CAROL A. ROCK Latham- Carol A. Rock, 64 of Latham, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2017 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Niskayuna, on February 2, 1953, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Jeanette L. (Kirchmayr) Champagne. She was a graduate of Guilderland high school class of 1972. Carol was a Nurse's Aide, employed by the Teresian House in Albany for 5 years. She also was formerly a school bus driver for the New Lebanon School District. Carol was a "big time" New York Yankee fan and loved animals especially her four cats and one dog who predeceased her. She has donated for many years to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands. She is survived by her husband: John F. Rock Jr. of Latham as well as her loving Aunt Elaine Girvin of Hudson, FL who was more like a mother to her. She is also survived by her cousin/brother Timothy Girvin and Robert Girvin. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday August 2, 2017 morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated after the visitation on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be next to her mother in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Latham.
