Alfie was my neighbor on Hamillton Ave. We grew up together on the hill, fought, went to school at Sacred Heart, LaSalle and played basketball daily at old School 15!
We lost contact after HS but I kept my eye out for Alfred afterwards.
I remember laughing a lot. I remember his dad, who seriously watched Mets/Yankees .. Giants/Jets on 2 TV's back in the 70's! And his sisters.
Al was my friend for many years and our families were raised together.
So sad to hear of your departure, my friend. All my love and best wishes to you on your voyage and to your sisters, who I give my sincerest condolences to.
