ROSEMARY A. ZABINSKI
Schenectady - Rosemary A. (Wisniewski) Zabinski, devoted wife of the late Edward since 1957, entered into eternal life on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's.
Born in Albany on August 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Mary Wisniewski Rainka and Frank Wisniewski and graduated from St. Casimir's and Vincentian Institute. She worked as a Secretary to the Personnel Director with the NYS Dept. of Health. She then started working for J.C. Penney in 1969, retiring in 1996. Rosemary was a member of St. Casimir's Church in Albany where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Rosary Society. But most of all she loved her family very much.
Rosmemary was survived by her loving daughters: Marianne Powers, Janet (Mike) Furbeck and Dr. Kathleen (Bob) Zabinski-Kramer, her six cherished grandchildren: Alex Powers, Jill Furbeck, Benjamin Furbeck, Andy Kramer, Aly Kramer and Jackie Kramer as well as her brother Edward (Kathy) Rainka. She is predeceased by her son in law Bob Powers.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday September 10 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Rosemary's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 11 at 9:00 am at St. Claire's Church, 1947 Central Avenue, Albany.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Club, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110
Interment will be next to her beloved husband Ed in Our Lady of Angels, Albany.
