Obituary of George Robert Hillje Jr.

GEORGE ROBERT HILLJE JR. Clifton Park- George Robert "Bob" Hillje Jr., 60 of Clifton Park, died Thursday, October 19, 2017. Born in Troy on May 31, 1957, he was the loving son of George R. Hillje Sr. of Latham and the late Jean Ann (Dolan) Hillje. Bob was a graduate of Pace University in New York City with a bachelor's degree in banking, insurance and real estate. He was employed as a right of way agent with the NYS Department of Transportation for many years before his retirement. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his sister Linda (Curt Hayner) Hillje, and his brother Scott J. (William Collura) Hillje, his aunts Deloris Hurd, Margaret Dolan, Carol Hillje Grovenger, uncle Henry Hillje and several cousins. Bob was predeceased by his aunt Lois Dolan Guild, Shirley Dolan LeCuyer and uncle Joseph T. Dolan Jr. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family Interment will take place with his mother Jean Ann in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy. A celebration of Bob's life will be held in the spring of 2018.
