DAVID V. LIBURDI
Latham-David V. Liburdi, 68 of Latham, beloved husband of the late JoAnn T. Romanelli Liburdi, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush.
Born in Troy, on March 8, 1949, he was the son of the late Angelo and Antoinette (Medici) Liburdi. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1968 until 1970. David married his beloved JoAnn T. Romanelli on July 16, 1972 and the two shared a beautiful marriage of 37 years prior to her passing on September 23, 2009. He was a Machinist employed by Watervliet Arsenal for over 27 years until his retirement in 1994. He also previously worked for the Leonard Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, K-Mart in Latham and Wal-Mart in Brunswick. He and his family resided in Waterford from 1974 until 2009. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. David loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed his trips to California.
Survivors include his loving children Jeanne (Glen) Rasberry of Hanford, CA, David Liburdi of Schenectady and Lisa (the Late Prisco) Arpaia of Latham, his siblings Angelo Liburdi of Watervliet, Robert (Irma) Liburdi of Texas, Mary (Jeff) LaHait of Latham and Frank Liburdi of Watervliet, his cherished grandchildren Joseph Arpaia, Brian Arpaia, Jacob Rasberry and Ryan Rasberry, his sisters-in-law Debra Liburdi and Martha Liburdi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his Brothers Richard Liburdi and Donald Liburdi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Road Latham, NY 12110.
Interment will be next to his beloved wife in St. Mary's Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
