Obituary of Jean B. Halloran

JEAN B. HALLORAN Latham- Jean B. Halloran, 89 of Latham passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush where she currently resided. Born in Cohoes on February 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Quirk) Bills. Jean is survived by her loving children John (Rosalie) Halloran of Latham, David (Kim) Halloran of East Greenbush, Patrick (Linda) Halloran of Port St. Lucie, FL and Maura (Gary) Lanoue of Tampa, FL as well as her eleven cherished grandchildren, nine adored great grandchildren and her brother Arthur D. (Joan) Bills of Springfield, VA and several nieces and nephews. Jean was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. Jean worked for NYS, and then was a dedicated Teacher's Aide for 25 years with the Cohoes School District, in Cohoes. Jean enjoyed traveling, golf, tennis, water aerobics, knitting Christmas stockings for many, as well as was a passionate gardener. Jean was the biggest cheerleader at sporting events when her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren were participating in. She was also a member of the Red Hats. Jean's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of B3 at the Van Rensselaer Manor for the loving care and compassion they gave toward Jean during her time there. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday November 26, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham Jean's Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 27 at 9:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, 122 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes.
