To all of the O'Brien children - I'm so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother. She was truly a special person who had a gift for making others feel special. I have many fond memories of the times when she and your dad would come over to play bridge with my parents. It was an "adults only" event, but my mom would let me come down to say "hello" to everyone, and your mom was so sweet to me and always made me laugh because she would tease me about how pretty my pajamas were and would tell me she wanted them. Not many adults would've appreciated the intrusion of a kid at such a time, but she always made me feel that she was just as happy to see me as I was to see her. So, please know that your mom left a lasting impression on a little girl who's now a middle-aged woman who has never forgotten how special she made that little girl feel. And I hope you take some comfort in knowing that she's back with your dad and my mom is thrilled to see her again. God bless you all, and please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
