Obituary of Charles P. Horrocks

CHARLES P. HORROCKS Latham- Charles Patrick Horrocks, 88 of Latham, passed away this day Monday January 1, 2018 at Craneville Place of Dalton in Massachusetts where he currently resided. Charlie wrote his own obituary and from here these are his own words that came from his heart… Never has a man been so blessed. I was born in Manchester England on February 24, 1929, and was raised and educated in Waterford and proudly served in the US Army from January 5, 1949 to July 16, 1952. Born to the late Charles & Harriet (Donovan) Horrocks, whom god blessed with an abundance of love, compassion, patience and understanding. They sacrificed everything to give me every benefit and opportunity in life. Married for 57 years to one of god's greatest creations, my beloved wife Dorothy Sarah Rivage who passed away on January 23, 2009. Dorothy had the patience of Jobe and gave me more love and understanding than I deserved. A woman I have loved, cherished and respected deeply. Brother of the late Margaret Clark of Waterford that I always loved with all my heart. Survived by my niece Sandra who never forgot us with her beautiful cards and our nephews Jerry & Wayne. Two wonderful children whom filled our hearts with love and joy; the late Timothy Horrocks and the late Leslie Doran. Survived by my daughter in law Penny (the late Jimmy) Horrocks, that god chose special for our children. 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
