I was an associate attorney at Poskanzer Hessberg, joining Harry D’Agostino in 1980. Nick was my mentor at Poskanzer and my partner at D’Agostino. A kind gentleman with a strong moral compass, very intelligent, great common sense and a loyal partner was Nick. I’m 72 now and have not met a better man.

Dear Susan and Gretchen.......We were so sorry to read of the passing of your Dad, Nick.
He and I were in the National Guard together and shared many good times. In 1968 Nick was the best man at our wedding and we have some great pictures to remember him by from that. Although we kept in touch through Christmas cards for years while you girls were younger, we eventually lost touch as sometimes happens. By all the condolences sent to you it is obvious he was a wonderful man, the same as when we knew him. We pray he is at peace now with your dear Mom and we treasure the memories of years ago and the friendship we shared when we were younger. Our sincerest sympathy to you both and your families...Larry & Kathy DeMarco

My lifelong friend.I Met him through Dean Bierkan while in Scotia High School and he continued to influence our lives since then. His interest in the Law was the primary reason both Dean and I went to Law School though neither of us could match his dedication and love of the Law as an occupation and a calling. We kept in touch with him through his illness and attempted to provide him with the support and love we knew he would have given us. The world was a better place because of him and my memories of him will be with me always.

Hi, I was very sorry to see that Nick had passed away. I grew up across the street, and have many fond memories of Nick coming outside to throw the football with us during our games out on the street. Nick was a very kind and compassionate person, as was Phyllis. I wish the family peace during this very difficult time.

My mom was a resident at the nursing home where your dad was. It’s funny how you start a bond with each other while visiting. Your dad was a sweet man and once we even had a beer with him, in the lounge watching a beautiful travel documentary. Finally he will be resting and at peace...Mrs. Morini’s daughter.

Susan, Gretchen and family, My deepest condolences, your dad will be missed immensely, but remembered deeply. Nick and Phyllis we're two very special people in my life. They were the neighborhood funsters. I remember they made friends with all the kids in our neighborhood. Nick always took time to show all the kids his new fish he just bought for his fish tank, teaching us about the types to have and sharing what type he would get next. Phyllis would just roll her eyes and laugh, saying "how could he be so excited over a fish"? I will always feel honored they entrusted me to babysit their two girls, my first sitting job. I will always be greatful for the memories shared with your family, and for your parents friendship, they were an amazing couple.

Susan and Gretchen. I am saddened to hear that Nick has passed. I remember how intimidated I felt when I first met him in 1988 when I went back to work at the firm. Then I learned that Nick was a wonderful, caring and very intelligent man. Even though the last time I saw him was several years ago when he was in Albany Med, i have fond memories from the firm. So sorry for your loss. Marcy.

This is very sad news. I've always had great admiration and respect for my cousin-in-law Nick and he was always someone I knew I could go to for good advice. I'll continue to remember fondly the times our families spent together at the lake, and the great holiday meals at the Fort Orange Club. My condolences to Susan, Gretchen and the rest of the family.
