THOMAS A. CLEMENTE SR.
LOUDONVILLE, BOCA RATON, FL. – Thomas A. Clemente, Sr., age 93, entered into eternal life Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at his Latham home, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 10th, 1924 in New York, NY, he lived much of his life in Loudonville and Latham, NY and Boca Raton, FL.
Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. An avid golfer, he was a member of Wolferts Roost Country Club for over 60 years and the Royal Palm Golf Club in Boca Raton, FL. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he played three years of varsity baseball and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Thomas played four years of professional baseball for the Chicago Cubs Triple-A farm system. During WWII he became a Sergeant and a Marine Corps Navigator-Bombardier, flying missions in the Pacific Theatre in B-25 bomber aircraft. He later founded and was CEO of Clarity Publishing Inc. of Albany, NY for over 50 years. As CEO Thomas started, printed and was Publisher of many Catholic newspapers across New York State. He has received countless awards from the Catholic Press Association. He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville, NY and St. Lucy's Church in Delray Beach, FL.
Thomas was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Betty Hanrahan Clemente: loving father to Thomas A. Clemente Jr. of Menands, NY, Kevin T. Clemente (deceased), Patricia Clemente Hull former wife of Kevin T. Clemente, Brian T. Clemente and his wife Alix of Vero Beach, FL, Cathleen Mullahy and her husband Dennis of Loudonville, NY, and Joseph T. Clemente and his wife Pamela of Latham, NY. Cherished grandfather of Christy and Patrick Condon, Cynthia Clemente, Thomas IV and Kristen Clemente, Kelly and Matt Bitsko, Scott and Elizabeth Clemente, Carla and Brett Tonks, Brian Clemente Jr., Daniel and Jill Clemente, Amy Clemente, Christopher Clemente, Shawn and Mary Mullahy, Ryan and Kerry Mullahy, Shannon and Josh Hamilton, Taryn and Michael Gadomski, Collin Mullahy, Joseph T. Clemente Jr., Elizabeth and Jeffrey Harris, Kathleen and Kevin Wickles, and Anthony Clemente: great-grandfather to 27 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday June 14 from 4:00-7:00 pm at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville, on Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
