Obituary of Harold J. Ryan Jr.

HAROLD J. RYAN JR. Albany- Harold J. Ryan Jr., 91 of Albany, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Kenwood Manor at Good Samaritan in Delmar. Born in Troy on March 24, 1927, he was the son of the late Harold J. Ryan Sr. and Catherine F. (Driscoll) Ryan. Harold was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and later attended Siena College. He proudly served during World War II in the US Army as a Radio Operator in the 13th Communications Squadron. Harold was employed for many years with New York State Audit & Control in Albany, retiring in 1982. He is survived by his loving sister Grace E. McCurry of Jefferson Heights, NY and Brother-in-Law Johnny Fennell of Clifton Park as well as several nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews. Harold is predeceased by his siblings Therese F. Coyle, James P. Ryan, Marti A. Fennell, Helen A. Ryan and Kathleen F. Ryan. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday August 9, 2018 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Interment with military honors will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Jefferson Heights, NY.
