Obituary of Jeremiah "Jerry" J. Minihane

JEREMIAH J. MINIHANE Latham- Jeremiah "Jerry" J. Minihane, 76 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Albany Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Staten Island on April 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Patrick and Bridget (Mahoney) Minihane. Jerry proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1965. He was married to Simone M. (Moisan) Minihane in 1967 and just celebrated 51 years of love and devotion on September 23, 2018. Jerry was a New York State Trooper at Troop G in Loudonville as well as the Division Headquarters in Albany. He retired in 1993 after 26 years of dedicated service. In addition to his beloved wife Simone, he is survived by his loving children James (Emily) Minihane of MA, Christine Minihane of Albany and Andrew Minihane of Latham. Three cherished granddaughters Lillian, Charlotte and Madeleine as well as his siblings James (Lorraine) Minihane of NY, Patrick (Marianne) Minihane of CA and Katherine Conlon of NJ and several nieces and nephews. Jerry is predeceased by his siblings Alfred and Eileen Minihane. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday October 2, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Jerry's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 3 at 9:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Fr. Brian Kelly officiating.
