Obituary of Kenneth J. Liburdi

KENNETH J. LIBURDI Cohoes- Kenneth J. Liburdi, 70 of Cohoes, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy on September 26, 1948, he was the son of the late George and H. Frances (Sharpe) Liburdi. Ken was married to Carol (Chupak) Liburdi and shared a devoted union of 47 years together prior to his passing. Ken was employed in Information Technology with the NYS Department of Social Services in Albany for many years and then with NYS OMRDD in Menands, retiring in 2006 after 30 years of service. As a hobby, Ken enjoyed antiquing as well as buying and selling antiques. In addition to his beloved wife Carol at home, he is survived by his loving son Kevin (Kathleen) Liburdi of NJ, his cherished and adored granddaughter Kayla who was the light of his life as well as his loving sister Karen Darrah of Newcomb. He is also survived by his nephew Melvin J. Darrah and many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday October 12, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services for Ken will be celebrated at 12:00 noon immediately following the visitation at the funeral home with Fr. John Cairns officiating.
