Obituary of Gail M. Barbera

GAIL M. BARBERA Colonie- Gail M. Barbera, 61 of Colonie beloved wife of Salvatore Barbera, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Troy on February 8, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Inez (Rossi) Fox. She was a 1975 graduate of Shaker High School. Gail was a Youth Employment Specialist with N.Y.S Developmental Disabilities in Niskayuna for over 30 years. She loved to travel, camping and enjoyed bird watching. Gail truly adored her grandchildren with all her heart. In addition to her beloved husband Sal, she is survived by her loving children Andrea Durkin, Sandy Barbera, Salvatore (Abby) Barbera Jr. and Miles (Heather) Patalino as well as her cherished grandchildren Kayla, Evan, Allison, Maxwell, Grace and Leo. She is also survived by her sisters Sharon Fox and Nancy (Dominic) Andriano, several nieces and nephews and her canine companion Dixie. She is predeceased by her canine companion Zoe. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday November 17 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with funeral services being celebrated at 3:00 pm at the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation.
