John actually insisted my wife Suz take home some of his veggies- on the plane-to Utah. And of course we did.

John and Ann were close friends with my Dad and Mom, Larry and Dottie Haywood. From politics to clubs to gardening to lilacs is was a good relationship.
These pictures were taken 9/4/2014 when my Mom was alive and we visited.

Uncle Jack and Aunt Ann were terrific people. They were involved in the community and helped everyone. We would visit them often and just sit around the kitchen table talking about what was going on in our lives and get their advice. Some of our best hours were spent there having tea and a bite to eat. Very very warm memories. God bless John and Ann. They made life better.

I’ll miss you, your stories, your quotes, your wisdom to save, save, save, how to grow a garden, always wear a hat in the cold, don’t gain too much weight, eat your vegetables, go out and have a nice dinner, it goes on and on. You are sorely missed. May you finally be at peace, hear the birds singing.and hold Annie”s hand.
