Tammy and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Its been far too long since I last saw you guys - probably Houston in the 1990s. I'm back in Houston now so please look me up next time you're down this way. No different from all the others, I always thought very highly of Wayne. I think I met him during my first year at McGill, his 2nd, when he was president of the Chem Eng society. He sure knew how to throw a great party...I'm not sure but he probably even made money for the group the year he was heading it up. Wayne was a great friend who always had a smile on his face, was always willing to lend a hand and was forever fun to be around. He was also the first one to show me around Houston back in 1992. I often think of the trip back to the airport from your place in Sugarland - its partially because of you guys that we moved here in 1995 and have lived here off and on ever since. Again, my condolences. Wayne will be missed. You are in my prayers. Alan.

To the Chiara Family:
My deepest condolences and sympathies on the passing of Wayne.
I am a business associate of Wayne, have known and respected him for many years. I always found Wayne to be extremely honest and hard-working which I always valued in our professional dealings. However, despite the fact we met through business dealings, I viewed Wayne as a real friend. Over the years we often talked about sports (him hockey / me baseball), our children, life in general and played golf together. We shared a lot of common interests.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you all at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Borger

Tammy and Family,
I, like many, could not believe the news of Wayne's passing. I offer sincere condolences to your family and Wayne's sister, Sandra. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow and sadness. It has been 25 years since I last saw Wayne, but fondly remember the countless hours we spent together at Lachine Arena during our minor and junior hockey days. Countless as well, were the bus and metro trips we took to downtown Montreal record stores. Wayne was forever adding to his fabulous record collection. I have mentioned Wayne's name to my own kids when they ask about my high school days. He had a fabulous English essay vocabulary and I marveled at how effortlessly new learning came to him. Wayne was one of the smartest and most humouress kids to come out of Bishop Whelan HS. May your memories and stories of his adventures from those who knew him in another time, help guide you through this. He will forever be fondly remembered.
Sincerely,
Paul Marleau

I am very sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. I went to McGill with him, and I really enjoyed our time in undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering together. His enthusiasm and energy were infectious, and he always made me laugh. We played sports together, and though we probably lost more than we won, it was always fun. Please accept my condolences.

I am a friend of Wayne’s from our youth while we were living in Lachine, and then when we attended McGill. I remember Wayne as an avid music (never seen a collection of vinyl quite like his!) and sports lover. Wayne was also one of the smartest people I have ever met, with a huge, caring heart. I am sending my condolences to you, his family and friends, from across the miles in Alberta. May you find some comfort during this difficult time, in your cherished memories of shared time and life experiences. Warmly, Adrienne Lawlor xo
