What great memories I have of the years I spent sitting with Verla , especially at Silverstien legion post. The meetings, the parties, the clambake. It was always a joy to sit with her & listen tor her tell about her war stories. She was such an interesting & passionate individual. After the Silverstien post disbanded, I didn't see her much but every Christmas, she would send me a card & let me know how things were going. It was such great joy to have known Verla all those years. RIP Verla, from your veteran friend, Tom Trifiletti
