Obituary of William E Garwig Jr.

WILLIAM E GARWIG JR. Latham-William E. Garwig Jr., 62 of Latham, beloved husband of Cynthia Coghill Garwig, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home in Latham with his loving family at his side. Born in Erie, PA on March 10, 1957, he was the son of Maryann Leonard Garwig and the late William E. Garwig Sr. He was a 1974 graduate of Niskayuna High School. Bill was employed by All Type Doors in Albany for over 40 years until his retirement. He married his beloved Cindy Coghill on May 22, 1993 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of over 26 years. He was an outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and loved the Adirondacks where he was a licensed guide. He enjoyed woodworking and fixing all types of things. Bill was an honest, loving and caring man with a deep love of his family. Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include his son Tyler A. Lockwood of North Carolina, sister Debra (Michael) Capullo of Schenectady, his sister-in-law Cathy (Manfred) Nicolas, sister-in-law Cynthia Southard, several nephews, a niece and cousins, his cat Weezie and many dear friends. Bill was predeceased by his sister Christine Britton, nephew Christopher Britton and his in laws William and Genevieve Coghill and brother-in-law William Coghill Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Monday July 8, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
