JIMMY COLLADO
- Jimmy Collado, 66 of Albany, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Albany Medical Center, in Albany. He had suffered many strokes throughout the years.
He was born in Bronx on August 5, 1952. He was raised there by his parents the late Santos Collado and Epifania Cintron, who survives. He moved to the Capital Region 11 years ago.
He worked for many years as a messenger in New York City. He was very proud of knowing the streets of Manhattan. He was recently employed as was a Maintenance worker by Clinton Avenue Housing in Albany, NY.
Survivors include his daughters Jean-Marie Calderon and Nicole Pineiro. His son Jimmy Collado Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sabrina, Christian, Jayden, Mariah, Natalie, Tatiana, Mya, and Ayden. He is also survived by his wife Mary Minena-Collado. He also had many loving brothers and sisters. Felix, Millie, Norma, Helen, Nelson, Howard, Herbert, and the late Diana Collado.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jimmy's family at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 292 Hays Road East Greenbush, NY 12061 on Friday July 19, 2019 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Funeral worship service will follow immediately at 1:00pm.
Interment will be at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to New Hope Ministries 334 Second Aveune Albany, NY 12209, in Jimmy's name.
