I came to know Betty through her friendship with my mom, Mary Jean Debboli. They were part of a wonderful group at the Cohoes Senior Center. She was the model of what a true friend should be. Betty stayed in touch with my mom (and me) until very recently. My mom and I were honored to attend her beautiful 100th birthday party last year. She recently told me about the wonderful parade by her house for her 101st birthday! She spoke often about how well cared for she was by her family, a source of great pride. My sympathies to the many who loved her!
