MARILYN JOYCE SANTORO Latham-Marilyn Joyce Santoro, 74 of Latham, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her home in Latham with her beloved husband Frank at her side. Born in Troy, on December 4, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Wendell and Helen Farkas Wunning. Marilyn was a graduate of Heatly High School in Green Island. She married the love of her life Frank V. Santoro on September 23, 1967 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of over 53 years. She was employed by the Delaware and Hudson Railroad and the New York State Comptroller's Office as an auditor for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed playing BINGO and going on trips with her best friend Carole Jean Boudreau to Atlantic City, Foxwoods, Las Vegas and vacations to Disney World and Wildwood NJ. Marilyn enjoyed lunches and dinners with her friends and loved watching the Boston Red Sox. She was a longtime communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving son Frank J. (Kristina) Santoro her most precious granddaughter Abby Santoro, her siblings Frederick (Yvette) Wunning, Stephen Wunning, Elizabeth (Lawrence) Boudreau, sister-in-law Dolores (Charlie) Ragosta and special niece Wendy (Matt) Richmond. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her brother Andrew (Shelley) Wunning, sister Kathryn Wunning sister-in-laws Vera (Bernard) Grimmick and Eva (Ray) Gibson A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 18, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday February 17, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her favorite charity St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
