Obituary of Barbara A. Medici

BARBARA A. MEDICI Watervliet- Barbara A. (Rockwell) Medici, 86 of Watervliet, passed away on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at her home surrounded by her children. Born on September 16th, 1934 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (St. John) Rockwell Sr. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carmen V. Medici Sr. whom she married on December 13th 1953. They had been blessed with 56 years of marriage until his passing on May 11th 2009. Barbara worked as a Factory Worker, employed by Watervliet's Norton Company, for 15 years until retiring in 1982. She loved to bake, do crafts and knit blankets for her family and friends. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casinos and of course spending time with her family especially children and sisters-in-law, Nancy and MaryBeth Rockwell. Survivors include her beloved children Carmen (Karen) Medici Jr., Cindy Ann (Ronald) Branch, Vincent J. (AnnMarie) Medici and Victor C. Medici, siblings Charles (Donna) Rockwell, David Rockwell, and Terry (Judith) Rockwell, and grandchildren Michael (Beth), Brad (Alexis), Meagan, Gregory (Elaine), Bailey (Zac), Taylor (Will), Daniel, Maki, Skymina Medici And, Drew (Makayla), Todd (Melissa), and Garett (Emily) Weatherwax and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Nancy, MaryBeth, and Linda Rockwell as well as many nieces and nephews and friend Mae Chancey. In addition to her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her sister Joan Milanese and her husband Carlo, brothers Arthur Rockwell Jr., James Rockwell, William Rockwell, sister in law Carol Rockwell and dear friend Geraldine Barlow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Memory Gardens, Colonie, 1:00pm.
