BRIAN LEWIS WEBB
Loudonville-Brian Lewis Webb, 81, of Loudonville passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the company of his loving family at the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence.
Brian was the son and only child of the late Fred L. Webb and Edythe K. Lewis Webb of Albany New York. Brian was a graduate of Albany High school and earned his associates degree at Hudson Valley Community College, his Bachelor's degree at SUNY Oswego and his Master's degree at SUNY Albany. After completing his Bachelor's degree, he became an Industrial Arts teacher at Shaker Junior High School in the North Colonie School District. Brian loved to teach the lively inquisitive junior high students. He held offices in the North Colonie Teachers Association and in the Capital District Industrial Arts Club. That club held annual elaborate product exhibits of items students made at Colonie Center for several years. When industries moved manufacturing abroad, school Industrial Arts moved to Technology Education. Brian especially enjoyed the Activities Wednesdays at school when he held the popular rocket club. Retiring after 42 years of teaching, Brian would often meet former students around town and who would greet him with a cheerful "Hi, Mr. Webb!". Brian and his wife Nancy joined three of the Colonie senior citizens clubs: Colonie, Menands and Thunder Road and enjoyed their activities, trips and parties. Brian had a variety of hobbies and especially loved woodworking. He made many household articles, children's toys, and utility items. Since he had a variety of the skills of Industrial Arts, he could repair almost anything. For many years Brian worked summers for the school district grounds and buildings crew as a carpenter. He tore down and put up walls, windows, hung doors, made shelves, bookcases, and computer desks. He also enjoyed working with that staff as well. He loved gardening and after working outside would come in to enjoy a cold beer. His hunting skills with his hunting buddies helped provide the group and their families plenty of venison to be enjoyed. Brian married his college sweetheart, and is survived by, his wife Nancy (Wagner) Webb, his beloved daughters Carolyn (Rodney) Dion and Diane Webb. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler and Reagan Dion and Miranda and Delaney Sears-Webb. Other survivors include his sister-in-law Christine Wagner, his niece Brenda (Michael) Redcross, his nephew David (Terri) Wagner, three great-nephews and one great-niece. Additional survivors include Brian's stepbrother Will Evans and his wife Yuki and their sons Stephen and Eric.
Brian was predeceased by his beloved son Steven R. Webb in 2018 and his brother-in-law James H. Wagner in 1995 as well as his stepfather William Evans in 2001.
Brian's family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff of the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence for their care, including the Hospice staff.
