JEREMY W. JEWETT
Jeremy W. Jewett, 48, went to be with Jesus on July 12, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born June 11, 1973 in Troy, he is the son of Sandra Maurer and the late Kenneth Jewett and was a longtime resident of the area. Jeremy had a love for life and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for music, wood working, and exploring nature with his children. Jeremy was a guitar enthusiast who used his talent to worship God and bless others. A true artist, his talents included crafting handmade walking sticks, envisioning and creating a super playhouse, as well as designing the winning pinewood derby car with his son. From an early age, he enjoyed Star Wars, Star Trek, and Peanuts. Jeremy will be forever remembered for his kindness and lighthearted way. He always had a warm friendly smile and was able to light up a room with his humor.
Early on in his career, Jeremy began working as a technician at Albany Medical Center. He advanced his education as a registered nurse and was most recently working at Perlmutter Eye Center.
He is survived by his loving wife Jennifer, daughter Anna, sons Joshua and Caleb. Siblings include Kenneth (Stacy) Jewett, Andrea Jewett, Kirstin (Matt) Blaauboer, John (Dodie) Jewett, Sandy (Terry) Yoder, Kendra (Roger) Pelham, Helen ("Pete") Peters, Rebecca (Adam) Abbate, Theresa Angus, and Matt Maurer, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and step-siblings.
There will be a celebration of Jeremy's life on July 15, 2021 at Loudonville Community Church 374 Loudon Rd Loudonville, NY 12211. Calling hours are 9:30-11am at the church followed by a service and burial to follow at Albany Rural Cemetery.
