Obituary of Thomas Eugene Chase

THOMAS EUGENE CHASE Thomas Eugene Vincent Chase, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Troy, NY. Born in the Bronx on April 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Clarence and Julia (Fornal) Chase. Thomas served honorably in the US Army during the time of the Vietnam War. He worked as a Computer Operator whilst employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance in Menands, NY. His surviving family include his sister, Mary and her husband, Simeon Hopkins. Other family members are his cousin Gary Johnson and his wife Betty. His loyal friend to the end was William Murray who kindly visited him as often as possible. In addition to his parents Thomas is predeceased by his brother Stanley Edward Chase, and infant sister Barbara Chase. Private cremation will take place under the direction of the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home. A memorial mass will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Latham. Thomas' ashes will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Newburgh, NY.
