Obituary of Gerard Delaney

GERARD DELANEY

Gerard "Bonzy" Delaney, 85 of Clifton Park, husband of Jeanne T (DeBonis) Delaney, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 3, 2021.

Born in Troy on December 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Francis and Anna (Squillace) Delaney.

Gerard was employed by Bendix Corp in Green Island for over 40 years.

He served honorably in the US Army from 1953-1956.

Survivors in addition to his wife Jeanne include his children Susan (James) Howard, Jill (Brian) Reilly, Meredith (Dominick) Redcross, and Kyle (Christopher) Rowe. Also survived by his five grandchildren Cailyn, Brennan, Lindsey, Anthony, and Avery, three great-grandchildren Josephine, Sloane, Finley as well as several nieces and nephews.

Gerard is predeceased by his sisters Mary Alice (Robert) Bouchard, and Frances Delaney.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 8th, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, Sept. 7th, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.

Interment with military honors will take place on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 10:30 am at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
