Obituary of William Carl Lynch

WILLIAM CARL LYNCH Latham-William Carl Lynch, 87, was called to the eternal gates of heaven on October 23, 2021. Born on October 20, 1934 in Cohoes, NY he was son of the late Raymond F. Lynch Sr. and Margaret M. Grogan Lynch. Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Kathleen Richmond Lynch. He is also survived by his loving children William C Lynch Jr, David Lynch (Lisa), Tim (Cheryl) Lynch, Sharon (Joseph) Sensi and Jim (Irene) Lynch along with 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many other loving family & friends. Carl was always easy-going with a great sense of humor. He graduated from Catholic Central high school class of 1952 and began working at his family's business selling Pepperidge Farm and Petri cookies. From there Carl worked for the New York State Department of Office of General Services as a senior computer operator. After retirement he worked his last and favorite job as ranger and starter at the Colonie golf course. Carl love golf, playing cards, betting on the horses at Saratoga and going to any casino. But above all nothing made him happier than spending time with his beloved family. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday October 27, 2021 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Calling hours will be held after the mass on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be private in St. Patrick's Cemetery Watervliet.
