JOSEPH L COLEMAN
LATHAM - Joseph L. Coleman, 67 of Latham, beloved husband of Joan (Stroh) Coleman, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Oceanside, NY on February 14, 1954, he was the son of the late Matthias F. and Theresa (Whiffen) Coleman. Joseph and Joan were married February 14, 1976.
Joe worked as a dedicated NYS Trooper for over thirty years based out of Troop G.
Joe was a parishioner of St. Ambrose Church. He enjoyed hockey, woodworking, working outside in his yard, as well as target shooting.
Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife of 45 years Joan, include his sons and their wives, who he considered children of his own, Joseph W. Coleman and his wife Nikki, and John J. Coleman and his wife Megan. Also survived by his siblings Thomas (Jayne), Joanne, and Susan as well as cherished grandchildren Vanessa and Joseph Barrett Coleman.
Joe is predeceased by his parents as well as his biological father Joseph Cahill.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, November 26th, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 27th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Fr. Brian Kelly officiating.
As per the family's wishes, masks will be required for all who attend.
