ANDREW C. TREVENTI JR.
LOUDONVILLE - After a long journey with Multiple Sclerosis, Andrew Charles Treventi, Jr. has begun his journey to be with the Lord. Born in Troy, NY on June 28, 1957 to the late Andrew and Margaret (Graber) Treventi, he passed peacefully at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany on Friday, January 28, 2022. Andy was a graduate of St. Jude's School and Catholic Central High School, served in the Navy from 1975 through 1979, and graduated from the Machinist Apprentice program at the Watervliet Arsenal where he worked until his retirement in 1999.
On April 12, 1986 he married his devoted wife and caregiver Justina (Dubuque) and in 1989 they welcomed their light and joy, daughter Stephanie, who now resides in Burbank, CA. Andy was a loyal husband and a thoughtful, supportive father. He was loved and will be missed by many, including sister Ann Marie (Joseph) Turo, brothers Charles (Mary), James and Thomas (Tina) Treventi, sister-in-law Carol Treventi, brother-in-law Steven Dubuque, godmother Sr. Kay Graber and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents and in-laws, he is predeceased by brother Philip Treventi.
Andy enjoyed participating in adaptive sports and for several years traveled annually to the Winter Sports Clinic in Aspen, CO and the National Veterans Wheelchair Games in various cities. Bowling, skiing and weightlifting were a few of his favorites. He liked to cruise and visit casinos with his wife and listen to his daughter ramble about her favorite TV shows, then watch them with her. An avid New York Giants fan, he enjoyed attending games with his brothers and yelling at the TV every time they played.
The family sends many thanks to Ricot Joseph for his daily dedication and compassionate care, Dr. Aniko Fellegi and the VAMC home-based team for their expert care, the staff of the Stratton VA Medical Center who cared for Andy during his many hospitalizations, Michele Ferrauilo, Nell Schmitz, and the Team Albany Adaptive Sports Team for their friendship and support, and our many friends and neighbors who were always willing to lend a hand over the years.
