Obituary of Vittorio Renda

VITTORIO RENDA Latham-Vittorio Renda, 80 of Latham, beloved husband of Mary Grace Mele Renda, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at his home in Latham with his beloved family at his side. Born in Cardinale Providence Catanzaro, Italy on May 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Nicola and Maria Teresa (Mantello) Renda. He married his beautiful wife Mary Grace Mele on October 6, 1968 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of over 53 years. He was employed by Beltrone Construction Co. in Latham for over 27 years retiring in 1997. He had previously worked for Machnick Construction and Local #152 in Troy and Local #190 in Albany. He was a member of Italian Community Center in Troy and a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons Nicola (Shaunell) Renda and Rocco (Dana) Renda, his brothers Nicola (Giuseppina) Renda and Franseco (late Caterina) Renda, his sister Eleonora (Domenico) Cunsolo. His cherished grandchildren Ava, Vittorio (R), Vittorio (T), Giovanni, Grace and Luca. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vittorio is pre-deceased by his sister Vittoria (late Cesare) Comito and brothers Giuseppe Renda and Salvatore Renda. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 24, 2022 at 10:30 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday February 23, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Entombment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Troy.
