Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Betty’s family on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral Mass to be celebrated immediately following the visitation at 10:30 AM with Rev. Brian Kelly, celebrant. Interment will follow the mass at Holy Sepluchre Cemetery, Rensselaer.
ELIZABETH LANGEVIN
COHOES/VERO BEACH, FL - Elizabeth “Betty” Langevin, age 82 of Cohoes, NY and Vero Beach, FL passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Born on February 17, 1940, in Oneonta, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Theresa Hartman. Betty and her husband, Armand, we married in 1961. She is predeceased by her daughter Marlene Langevin.
Betty graduated from Oneonta High School and Albany Business College. She was employed by NYS Department of Correctional Services until she retired in 2006. She was a charter member of the Latham Women’s Club and a member of the Hudson Mohawk Runners Club. She was also an avid gardener and a member of the Southern Saratoga Garden Club. She traveled all over the world to support her husband in his triathlon events.
Betty spent many years volunteering at the Little Sisters of the Poor. She was a member of both St. Ambrose Church in Latham and St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach, Florida.
In addition to her husband, Armand Langevin, Betty is survived by her daughter Michele (Peter) Wistort and sons Mark (Amy) Langevin, and Michael (Susan) Langevin. Also survived by grandchildren: Zackery, Hannah, and Sarah Wistort, Jeremy and Molly Langevin.
