Recalling many happy memories of Jim's parents, Ken and Jo, who introduced me to Rensselaer and my Van Rensselaer Patroon Agent's House of 43 years. They had researched and written about it and the entire City in their Historical Society books to celebrate the US Bicentennial.
I later met the younger Fraser generation when the Society revised and republished those City History books in 1993, "Three Villages, One City." The entire family was patriotic and dedicated to improving knowledge of the City -- including building and owning the only hydro-electric generating station in the City, beside their offices. We new-comers and long-timers certainly appreciated it.
My condolences to Betsy and the remaining Fraser family; you were all wonderful to learn from and work with.
Ray Hull, Pres. Renss. City Historical Society
