Obituary of James Joseph Wunderlich
JAMES J. WUNDERLICH
LATHAM - With profound sorrow we announce the passing of James Joseph Wunderlich, 55 of Latham, on July 8th, 2023 after a long illness.
Born on April 26th, 1968 in Albany, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Jean B. Wunderlich. He was the beloved brother of Leslie Dota and Carolyn (Lance) OBrien, and uncle of Nicholas, John and Sofia Dota, Peyton and Larkyn Obrien. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend Debra Rohrbach, as well as his uncle John Wunderlich and his aunt Kathy Wunderlich along with many cousins and friends.
Jim graduated from Christian Brothers Academy. He attended Hudson Valley Community College and RIT. Jim worked his entire life in the family business, Wunderlich Sand & Gravel. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Jim was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved going to NASCAR races up and the down the east coast, watching his favorite driver, Chase Elliott.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, July 16th, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Jim's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 17th at 10:30am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Brian Kelly, celebrant.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Jim's memory to the St. Ambrose Food Pantry.
