Obituary of Patricia Ann Kudlich

PATRICIA ANN KUDLICH

COHOES - Patricia Ann Kudlich, 84, wife of Karl H. Kudlich (married December 1, 2007) passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2023, at The Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, NY.

Born August 7th, 1938, in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Anna Marie (Meyer) Carroll, she grew up in Tarrytown, NY. Patricia was predeceased by her beloved former husband Robert W. Sorensen, Sr. on August 8th, 2005. They were wed on November 27th,1965 and spent forty cherished years together in Ossining, NY and Rockingham, VT, prior to his passing.

Patricia attended SUNY Brockport earning her bachelor's degree and later her Master's Degree from Columbia University and began working as a dedicated, adaptive physical education teacher. She was employed by Croton-on-Hudson Schools for 25 years until retiring in 1991. Patricia also spent time teaching water aerobics at her YMCA in Troy along with participating in the St. Patrick's Craft Guild in Watervliet. She was an avid reader and puzzle builder who also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Karl and her daughter's family. Patricia was a talented sewing enthusiast who taught many others to knit, crochet, embroider and quilt.

Survivors include her children Robert W. Sorensen Jr. and Carol Ann (John) Miller. She also leaves behind grandchildren Stefanie Lynne Miller and Bryan James Miller. In addition to her late parents and former husband, Patricia was also predeceased by her siblings, Earl J. Carroll Jr. and Robert W. Carroll.

A semi-private memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will be held on Friday, August 18th, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.

Interment will take place at Memory's Garden, Colonie, immediately following the service.
