ALICE M. HOGAN
Alice Marie Hogan passed away on September 5th, 2023 at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hudson, NY.
Alice was born in Newark, NJ on May 4, 1948, and grew up in Hillside. She was a student at Saint Catherine of Siena Elementary School in Elizabeth and Hillside High School, where she graduated in 1966. She belonged to her high school's theatrical group, "The Thespians."
Alice was a real estate broker for Action Realty in Elizabeth. She spent the last years of her life living in Watervliet, NY. Alice loved animals and had two beloved dogs, Dusty and Patches. Alice was an avid reader and had a great sense of humor and a lovely singing voice. She devoted many hours volunteering at the Sisters of Saint Joseph Provincial House in Latham and enjoyed the company of many dear friends there. Alice was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham.
Predeceasing Alice were her parents, Alice M. Hogan and Andrew J. Hogan, Sr. of Hillside, sister Patricia I. Downey of Rosell Park, and fiancée Joseph McGovern of Albany. She is survived by her brother Andrew J. Hogan, Jr. of Orange, MA, sister Maureen T. Gogan of Colonie, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alice's Funeral Mass being celebrated on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke celebrant. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery to immediately follow the mass.
