Obituary of Ann Marie Lopez
ROTTERDAM - Ann Marie Lopez, 62, passed away at Ellis hospital September 1, 2023, after courageously battling with cancer for the past year. Her family and a close friend were by her side.
Born in Cobleskill, NY, the youngest of three siblings to the late Elizabeth Brown and Edward Miller, Ann grew up in and attended Schoharie Valley schools. She went on to study accounting at Bryant and Stratton College, making the Dean's List during her studies. She was a substitute teacher at Schoharie School District, obtained her CDL license, and worked with the Guilderland School District and Browns Transportation.
Ann is survived by her brothers William Miller Jr. and Edward Miller and was the mother of Brandon Lopez, and Stephanie Lopez. She was proud grandmother of Everleigh Aspen Lopez.
She handcrafted award-winning dolls with her mother, was a barrel racer, enjoyed camping with family, and had an affinity for painting and creating cross stitched artwork. She was also an animal lover, especially her horse Mr. Steps, a gardener with a green thumb, and made great home cooked meals for family and friends. She was a kind, creative, gentle soul, a great listener, a cheerleader for her children, a shoulder to lean on through any obstacle, and a dear friend who will be greatly missed.
